Vancouver, B.C., Nov. 28th, 2016 — Filmmakers Tony Dean Smith & Ryan W. Smith have partnered with U.S.-based investment fund Paly Productions Inc. to finance their mind-bending sci-fi thriller, VOLITION. Tony Dean Smith will helm the film as Director, while Ryan W. Smith will serve as Producer.
Based on a screenplay written by the Smith Brothers, Volition is a gritty sci-fi thriller, about a man afflicted with clairvoyance, who tries to change his fate when a series of events leads to a vision of his own imminent murder. Volition aims to reach fans of intelligent sci-fi, focusing on intriguing concepts and grounded characters. Principal Photography commences in Vancouver, in Spring 2017, with a festival and wider release scheduled for 2018.
In connection with Volition, the Smith Brothers Film Company will be releasing a series of semi-monthly webisodes, offering fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of the film. The first webisode is set for Monday, Nov. 28th, 2016, with others following every second Monday.
